Yesterday I had a conversation with one of my close acquaintances. We talked about her daughter, and she shared that she pushes her daughter to be active and participate in sports. I asked her why she wants her daughter to be active in sports, but she wasn’t able to give me a reasonable answer.
A lot of us think that women’s nature is to be active, but it is actually not. There are some women who are born to be active, but that is rare. A lot of us women are mistaken about our nature, because we are not educated enough to know about it and not observant enough to question what we are taught by society.
Let’s take a closer look at it. First of all, why is it that we have this misconception about the nature of women? Why do we think they are supposed to be active? Well, it starts with our society and our surroundings. Girls are told that they have to grow up and be very social. They are shown by media that being popular is a direct reflection of self-worth and success. In addition to influence through the media, parental influence also has a direct effect on this common misconception.
SO IF IT IS NOT A WOMEN’S ROLE TO BE ACTIE, THEN WHAT IS A FEMALE’S NATURE? IT’S FAMILY.
Now I understand that the idea of family isn’t for every woman. Whether you’ve been hurt by a prior love, or you’ve had some other sort of traumatic experience, the family life is a big commitment and can be a daunting road to travel upon. By avoiding the family route, women end up living with a void in their lives and if these women ever decide to get into a relationship in the future, that relationship will most likely be hurt by it as well. When you live in a void and have resentment in your heart, you are more likely to attract that same energy. So in my opinion, it’s better to come to terms with any inner demons you may have, face them, and deal with them. Don’t let your children suffer due to the issues you are dealing with.
A LOT OF FEMALES ARE TRYING TO CHASE AN ACTIVE LIFE IN ORDER TO HIDE THE VOIDS THEY HAVE IN THEIR HEARTS.
They continue to find escapes, never truly facing the problems they have in their hearts. At some point though, you’re going to have to slow down and face the issues you’ve been neglecting all these years. What’s going to happen then?
A lot of us watch shows in our night-time routine. We often look to these shows and observe the characters, following closely, and creating involuntary compressions of our feelings. We see only what is in front of our lives and repress the closed doors of our past. Observing people isn’t always a bad thing, but many fail to learn from what they see. They fail to draw out helpful advice from others to change their own life for the better. Unfortunately, many of us do not go into these situations trying to learn to better ourselves, but rather to try and compare.
All these shows show us how lost we truly are. We are doing things on autopilot and neglecting to think about them beyond a superficial level. We live in big cities where life is fast and furious, constantly playing catch-up. Is it worth it? Is it worth it if we are losing ourselves? Is it worth it if we are raising our children with twisted ideas? Our little girls are lost because we used the failure of fear and rejection to push them to things against their innate nature. We are used to life in a society where we are constantly told what is good and what is bad.
Now, for us women, it is important to live according to our nature and our cycles. I’m not suggesting that all women have to become stay at home moms, but we need to find a medium where we can keep our nature and our desires in check. Isn’t it easier to live according to our nature and the flow of life? Only through this can we achieve a life and family that is happy and healthy.
