Yesterday I had a conversation with one of my close acquaintances. We spoke about her daughter and how she shared that she pushes her to be active and to participate in sports. I asked her why she wants her daughter to be active in sports, but she wasn’t able to give me a reasonable answer.

A lot of us think that women’s nature is to be active, but it is not. There are some women who are born to be active but is much rarer. A lot of us are totally mistaken about our nature because we are not educated enough to recognize it and be observant enough to question what we are taught by society.

Let’s take a closer look at it. First of all, why is it that we have this common misconception of the nature of women? Why do we think they are active? Well, it starts with our society and our surroundings. Girls are told that they have to grow up and be very social. They are shown by media that being popular and such is a direct reflection of self-worth and success. In addition to influence through the media, parental influence also has a direct effect on this common misconception.

So if it is not a women’s role to be active, then what is a female’s energy? It’s family.

Now I understand that the idea of family isn’t for every woman. Whether you’ve been hurt by prior love, or you have had some other sort of traumatic experience, the family life is a big commitment and can be a daunting road to travel. By avoiding this situation, they end up living with a void in their lives and if this girl ever decides to get into a relationship in the future, that relationship will most likely hurt her as well. When you live in a void and resent in your heart, you are more likely to attract that same emotion. So in my opinion, it’s better to come to terms with any inner demons you may have, face them, and deal with them. Don’t let your children suffer due to the issues you are dealing with.

So a lot of females are trying to chase an active life in order to hide the voids they have in their hearts.

They continue to chase escapes never truly facing the problems they have in their hearts. At some point though, you’re going to have to slow down and face the issues you’ve been neglecting all these years. What’s going to happen then? A lot of us include a nightly show into our routine. We often look to these shows and observe the characters, following closely creating an involuntary compression of our feelings. We see only what is in front of our lives and repress the closed doors of our past. Observing people isn’t always a bad thing, but many fail to learn from it. They fail to draw out helpful advice from others to change their own for the better. Unfortunately, many of us do not go into these situations trying to learn, but rather to try and compare.

So all this shows us how lost we truly are. We are doing things on autopilot and neglecting to think about them beyond a superficial level. We live in big cities where life is fast and furious, constantly playing catch-up. Is it worth it? Is it worth it if we are losing ourselves? Is it worth it if we are raising our children with twisted ideas? Our little girls are lost because we used the failure of fear and rejection to push them to things against their innate nature. We get used to life in a society where we are constantly told what is good and what is bad.

Now, for us women, it is so important to live according to our nature and our cycles. I’m not suggesting that all women have to become stay home moms, but we need to find a medium where we can keep our nature and our desires in check. Isn’t it easier to live according to our nature and the flow of life? Only through this can we achieve a life and family that is happy and healthy.
